Guest Faculty
Theresa Domingues
Theresa Domingues started her dance career at the age of 4 and studied and competed in all genres of dance; ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, musical theatre and tap. She started her teaching career in 1987, and was an integral part of creating the PAEC Tap Syllabus since its inception. Ms. Domingues is currently a Tap and Jazz examiner for PAEC and an imperative part of developing the Teacher Training Program for PAEC.
Theresa has adjudicated throughout southern Ontario and most recently has acquired her license in Tap with the INTERNATIONAL DANCE ORGANIZATION (IDO). A highlight of her dance career was the privilege of choreographing the children’s team for the CANADIAN NATIONAL TAP TEAM in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2022.
Theresa also specializes in working with children with special needs including physical and learning disabilities. As a mother and a grandmother, Theresa brings an enriched perspective of child development and learning.
Amanda Lytle
Amanda is a graduate of the York University B.F.A. Dance Program as well as the National Ballet School of Canada’s Teacher Training Program, receiving an N.B.S. Diploma with Distinction. Amanda obtained her RAD teaching qualifications and is a registered Full member of PAEC in Ballet and Jazz, and an Associate member in the Modern/Contemporary division. Amanda has completed her PBT – Progressing Ballet Technique membership and has enrolled as an Examiner-In-Training in the disciplines of Ballet and Jazz with PAEC. She is an active member at large on the PAEC Executive Committee as well as sits on the Ballet, Jazz and Modern Committees. Amanda is currently teaching at Somerville Dance Academy where she enjoys sharing her love of ballet with her students.
