PAEC is proud to present theTeacher Training Certification Program
The first training session of the dance Teacher Training Program (TTP) is an Affiliate program, whereby upon completion, one will become an Affiliate member of PAEC, entitled to the majority of benefits of a PAEC member. The Affiliate training program is a 2-day course designed for junior teachers, new to the dance teaching industry, as well as the seasoned teacher who is looking to refresh their skills. This course is for everyone.
The topics covered in this course will include basic anatomy, teaching posture and alignment technique, working with a class accompanist, musicality, and classroom management. and most importantly, tackling the common problems that arise when teaching the various dance disciplines for the growing dancer.
We invite you to enjoy this 2-day educational event! Our responses to both our sessions held in 2022 were extremely positive and participants felt newly inspired with a toolbox full of tools to bring into their studio classrooms.Bring your questions and your motivation!
We are excited to be bringing our NEW Membership Tutorial Courses to the PAEC Teacher Training Program. These courses are specifically designed to tackle the common problems that we see as examiners within the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. This 3 day course will offer a basic overview of alignment (for more of an in depth analysis, see the Affiliate course), then will move on to breakdown the various common problems within these disciplines. During this course, participants will be able to choose which discipline they wish to specialize in to learn how to teach the particular elements, and the complexities that come with teaching skill levels from Pre-Primary to Advanced levels. Participants will be assessed on their practicum by the end of the sessions. A successful candidate will obtain, certification and a PAEC membership within the discipline that they have completed at either the Associate or Full membership level. Sessions are currently offered in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz and other disciplines are in currently in their developmental stages to be course ready in the near future.

Our PAEC TTP Teacher Membership Training Programs offer the participant a complete and comprehensive breakdown of how to address the common problems that tend to creep up when teaching vocabulary from Pre-Primary level all the way to include Pre-Professional level training. These concepts are addressed to establish the common problems of the technique, and the strategies we have come to utilize through multiple years of teaching and examining in these disciplines. Our instructors who are also examiners work to impart their knowledge to help grow the teacher and the dancer, creating a positive learning environment. These courses are 3 days in duration, requiring for the participant to bring their students with them on the last day for demonstration purposes to demonstrate the application of their knowledge for certification. Once successful certification is obtained, the participant will also gain PAEC membership in the particular discipline.
