DUE TO THE EXPECTED SNOWSTORM HAPPENING ON SUNDAY JANUARY 25TH, THE ACRO MOMENTUM WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED AT THIS TIME IN EFFORTS TO KEEP ALL OF OUR FACULTY, STUDENTS, AND PARENTS SAFE COMMUTING TO AND FROM THE WORKSHOP.
CURRENTLY, OUR ACRO COMMITTEE IS DOING THEIR BEST TO TRY TO COORDINATE ANOTHER DATE IN THE FUTURE, HOWEVER, IN THE MEANTIME, ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REFUNDED IN THE FORM OF PAYMENT FOR WHICH THEY PAID FOR THE WORKSHOP. NANCY DINNER
Nancy Dinner was the owner/operator of Jaymor School of Dancing in Aurora, Ontario for over 30 years. Mrs. Dinner is a full member of P.A.E.C. as well as an acrobatic and jazz examiner. Nancy performed with Canada’s Wonderland, Toronto, for four years as well as performing in various industrial shows, television and video. She has taught dancers who consequently performed in Mexico – in Manzanillo, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and on cruise ships around the world. Nancy has also taken dance troupes to perform at Costa Del Sol, Spain and the Maritimes, Eastern Canada, as well as, more recently, on three Royal Caribbean Cruise ships. Nancy has choreographed pageants, fashion shows, as well as productions of “Finian’s Rainbow”, “Grease”, “Anything Goes”, “CATS”, “Big”, “Hair Spray”, “Aladdin”, “The Sound of Music”, “Oliver”, “Footloose” and “Joseph” and more. She continues to choreograph and adjudicate for other members of the dance profession and is well-known for her extensive acrobatic background and contortionist work. Many of her dancers continue to perform, teach, choreograph and study the many facets of dance due to her leadership and passion.
MAUREEN MORKILL
Maureen was born and raised in the Greater Toronto area where she had the opportunity to train with many of Canada’s most talented dance educators. Maureen excelled in the area of acrobatics and was given a rare opportunity to train with theworld renowned Cirque Du Soleil. Maureen’s competitive dance experience brought her all over Canada and the United States and awarded her many accolades through the years. Her teaching career began 30 years ago and she has been the proud owner and director of her own school for the past 23 years. Maureen’s students have attained a high level of prestige on the competitive dance circuit throughout the years and are the recipients of numerous Regional and National titles. Maureen’s dancers have had much professional success as well, with companies such as Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Ballet Hagen Dance Company in Germany. Maureen is a member of Dance Masters of America and a certified national examiner. She is a much sought after judge, choreographer and Master class teacher. Maureen continues to expand her knowledge and grow as both a choreographer and dance educator by attending numerous conventions and workshops each year. Maureen is always delighted to be given the opportunity to share her love of dance.
